one phrase. not likely! any time soon
Although, Vodafone do have it in their priority list to launch it in New Zealand in due course of time, it doesn’t look like we will be seeing it anytime soon. Although ,we could expect to before December, chances are dim. Vodafone do not plan to release any information or comment on when they will be offering this service and state they will announce it when the service is ready to offer to their customers.
As far as Telecom’s XT network offering the iPhone 3G|S| goes,
they are still under discussion with Apple, though I will NOT BE SURPRISED that if they ARE successful, they offer Visual Voicemail at launch! (of the iPhone 3GS on the XT Network) to shadow Vodafone and possibly even offer the 3GS cheaper.
For those you who aren’t aware of what Visual Voice mail is, in layman’s terms its the same as if had your voice mail as audio files on your iPod (iPod feature on the iPhone). You can choose the mail you want to listen to, rewind, fast forward, repeat, call back, delete – all visually rather than following the traditional voice commands in your voice mail.
