Ok well to sum it up.. you can pay $130 bucks a month and only get a mere 500MB.
Anyway, on the bright side, its better than what we saw last year.
You can view all the plans on the iPhone 3G|S| Plans and Pricing page
If your planning on going on the iPhone $40 plan, I’d suggest you stick to Supa-Prepay!
Honestly, here’s a better option…
$10 / month – 2000 txts
$10/ month – 100mb + 10c for every additional MB and $10 for another slab + 50mb @ 0.10c per MB = $25
$0.89 per min | $17.80 for 20 Minutes
$0.20 per additional text/ txt to another network.
Total: $52.80
AND ! Its cheaper for each additional MB on supa prepay then it is on the iPhone40 plan! (0.10cents VS. 0.25cents)
Yes it is $12.80 more per month, but if you have a month where your hardly going to use your phone you can control how much you spend. Say you know your not going to be using a lot of data, you can always just revert back to the $1/10mb per day data and end up saving the $25, hence you’ve only spent $27.80 that month! If your wise while choosing your plans, you’d benefit I’d say!
Now honestly come on, ok yes you get the iPhone 3G|S| for about half the price ($499) at the cost of being signed up to a contract for 24months with paying $40 for each of those 24months ? That’s saving $499 to end up paying $960 (forced) – without ANY freedom!
With supa-prepay you’ll get to use it as much as you want, you wont be charged $17.80 for calls, you will only be charged if you make those calls! i.e. you pay only for what you’ll use, expect for a minimum of 2000txts and 100mb data usage. I personally i’m gonna stick to this, don’t want to be bound by a contract that forces me to pay $40 each month even if my phone sits on the desk for the whole 30days!
Vodafone need to understand that signing people up to a contract is to provide them with a reason to stick with Vodafone, hence the contract but hey! being on supa-prepay can allow me to swap between XT and VF when I like ! and I’ll be better off then someone who’s bound to stick with VF for 24 months for no real reason!
I’d recomend everyoneconsider which plan they go on carefully!
OH! and yes, it the contract ALSO means that you can NOT get the iPhone that will come out next year
love you Vodafone!

NB: I’ve talked about the iPhone 3G|S| 16GB and the iPhone40 plan. Other plans are available for heavy users and will prove beneficiary.

I belive in order to get 250Mb a month on Supa-Prepay you would pay $10/ month – 100mb + a additional $10/ month –for a additional 100mb then 10c for every additional MB x 50 =$5. So in total = $25 plus the $17.80 for 20 Minutes and $10 / month – 2000 txts = $52.80
woops. thanks mate lol forgot the additional 100MB, might have to change a whole lot above! guess yesterday was a long day!
